Midwest Language Services, LLC is currently scheduling interviews for contract/freelance interpreters to support in-person assignments across Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking interpreters with at least two years of professional interpreting experience in one or more of the following languages:

  • ASL (American Sign Language)

  • Burmese languages (Falam Chin, Hakha Chin, Mizo Chin, Senthang, Zophei)

  • French

  • Haitian Creole

  • Japanese

  • Spanish

  • Other languages (please specify in your application)

Special Considerations

  • Medical interpreters for spoken languages should have completed the Bridging the Gap interpreter training program or equivalent.

  • Assignments include medical, legal, and manufacturing settings.

  • We are specifically hiring for face-to-face, in-person assignments.

  • Please note: At this time, we are not hiring interpreters who only provide telephonic services.

Role Description:

As an interpreter with Midwest Language Services, LLC, you will facilitate accurate communication between English speakers and individuals with limited English proficiency or those who use American Sign Language. Interpreters support clients in settings such as medical appointments, legal consultations, educational meetings, and business environments.

Assignments may vary in length and location, with opportunities for both on-site and remote work.
