Midwest Language Services, LLC is now scheduling interviews for experienced contract and freelance interpreters to assist with in-person assignments across Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.
Position Overview
We are seeking professional interpreters to support onsite communication in a variety of settings, including medical, legal, and manufacturing environments. This opportunity is ideal for qualified linguists who value flexibility and professionalism while providing high-quality interpreting services.
Languages Needed
We welcome applicants with interpreting experience in one or more of the following languages:
ASL (American Sign Language)
Burmese languages: Falam Chin, Hakha Chin, Mizo Chin, Senthang, Zophei
French
Haitian Creole
Japanese
Spanish
Other languages (please specify in your application)
Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of professional interpreting experience.
Medical interpreters for spoken languages should have completed the Bridging the Gap training program or an equivalent course.
Proven ability to interpret accurately and maintain confidentiality in a professional setting.
Availability for on-site, face-to-face assignments (remote or telephonic-only interpreters are not being considered at this time).
Assignment Details
Assignments may include:
Medical appointments and hospital visits
Legal proceedings and depositions
Business meetings, conferences, and manufacturing site visits

At Midwest Language Services, we value professional linguists who care about people and want to use their skills to make a difference. We are continually accepting applications from experienced interpreters of spoken languages and American Sign Language with at least two years of paid, professional interpreting experience.
Position Description:
As an interpreter with Midwest Language Services, you will facilitate accurate communication between English speakers and individuals with limited English proficiency or those who use American Sign Language. Interpreters support clients in settings such as medical appointments, legal consultations, educational meetings, and business environments.
Assignments may vary in length and location, with opportunities for both on-site and remote work.
